Saturday Activities- Bag Free Day In our school, every third Saturday of the month is observed
as "Sambhrama Shanivara"
ie. Bag free day to promote learning beyond books. Students
participated in fruit and
vegetable carvings, clay modeling, pick and speak, debate,
fancy dress, cooking without fire competitions and more.
These activities nurtured creativity, teamwork, and civic
awareness while easing the burden of heavy school bags.
Student Development Programs Our
school conducted various student development programs
throughout the academic year 2024-25 to enhance academic
performance, career awareness, and skill development. Dr.
Antony Joseph, a corporate trainer from Lions Club
Bangalore, led a session on effective time management
strategies for SSLC students, helping them optimize their
study schedules. In another session, he provided guidance on
scoring high marks and making informed career choices. A
two-day life skill development workshop was conducted by MSc
Psychology students from St. Clarets College, focusing on
leadership, communication, self-management, and
goal setting. Additionally, the Agastya Foundation Winter
Camp, a two-day program by an NGO dedicated to enhance
education through activity-based learning, engaged students
in hands-on experiences using simple materials. These
initiatives were designed to equip students with the
knowledge, skills, and confidence needed for their academic
and personal growth.
Faculty Development Programmes To
enhance teaching effectiveness and student success, our
school conducted various faculty development programs
throughout the academic year 2024-25. Dr. Antony Joseph, a
corporate trainer from Lions Club Bangalore, led a session
on maintaining an Alpha state of mind, helping teachers stay
focused and manage classrooms effectively. In a separate
session, he provided strategic guidance on improving SSLC
results through targeted academic interventions. He also
conducted a session on ways to improve parent-teacher
interactions, emphasizing effective communication for better
student support. Additionally, Mr. Sharif from FLN Books
conducted a session on child psychology, highlighting the
role of curriculum design in shaping young learners’ overall
personality development. These programs were organized to
equip teachers with modern teaching methodologies, fostering
a more engaging and effective learning environment for
students.
SSLC Students Farewell at St
Anthony’s Church School Every
ending marks the beginning of a bright new journey.
The 10th Standard Farewell was a heartfelt celebration as
our school community led by the Principal Rev. Fr. Vijay
Kumar and Vice Principal Rev. Fr. Anil D’Costa came together
to honour our graduating students. Mementos were presented, and
a heart touching farewell video was shared following dynamic
dance performances by the 9th standard. As a special
gesture, the 10th standard students presented a gift as a

Church School The UKG Graduation Day was a joyous and memorable occasion,
celebrating the achievements of our young graduates. The
event was graced by Dr. Sharlet Dsa, the Chief Guest, who
delivered an inspirational speech, encouraging the students

Celebration "Women

Celebration The
Scouts and Guides Unit of our school celebrated Founders'
Day in honor of Lord Baden-Powell, the visionary behind the
scouting movement. The event began with the Scouts and
Guides prayer song, creating a solemn and inspiring
atmosphere. This was followed by an insightful introduction
by the school teachers, highlighting the significance of the

Annual Sports Day at St Anthony’s
Church School The
Annual Sports Day at our school was inaugurated with great
enthusiasm by Mr. Rajat Kankar, All India Pickleball
Secretary. The ceremony commenced with the hoisting of the
flag, followed by an impressive march past by the students.
A torch relay symbolizing the spirit of sportsmanship added
to the grandeur of the event. Addressing the gathering, Mr.
Kankar emphasized the role of sports in fostering
discipline, teamwork, and resilience. Various sports events
were conducted for lower primary, higher primary, and high
school sections, including volleyball, cricket, badminton,

Tuberculosis Awareness Programme at
St Anthony’s Church School A tuberculosis awareness program was conducted for the
Kannada medium high school students of our school. The
session was led by doctors Somana, Rajesh and Gayatri from
the Urban Health Centre, BBMP, Gangondanahalli. They
highlighted the causes, symptoms, and preventive measures
stressing the importance of early detection, hygiene, and
timely medical intervention. Awareness is the first step
towards prevention—let’s work together for a TB-free
community.
Christmas Celebration at St
Anthony’s Church School Our
school’s Christmas celebration radiated warmth and joy as
teachers visited local homes to distribute festive cakes and
heartfelt wishes to families. Followed by this all staff
members along with the management gathered in a beautifully
decorated hall where everyone exchanged greetings and
thoughtful gifts. The sparkling Christmas tree and vibrant
stage set the scene for a day filled with laughter, unity,
and the true spirit of the season—reminding the students why
we celebrate: to foster community, love, and hope.
Student educational excursions Our
school organized educational excursions for students across
different sections, combining fun, adventure, and learning.
The lower primary students visited Fun World and Water
World, where they enjoyed recreational activities that
foster teamwork and social interaction. The higher primary
students traveled to Mysore, exploring GRS Fantasy Park and
the historic town of Srirangapatna, where they visited the
Gumbaz—the burial place of Tipu Sultan, Hyder Ali, and
Fakhr-Un-Nisa—gaining insights into Karnataka’s rich
history. High school students embarked on a trip to Madikeri,
visiting Mangalapatti Hill Station, Raja’s Seat, the Golden
Temple at Namdroling Monastery, and Nisargadhama, where they
experienced history, spirituality, and nature firsthand.

St. Anthony’s Church School celebrated its Annual Day on
22nd November 2024 with immense enthusiasm and grandeur. The
event was presided over by Most Reverend Monsignor C.

Monastery, and the iconic Atal Tunnel, offering deep
insights into the region’s heritage and natural beauty.
Beyond sightseeing, the excursion also included adventure
activities, with some teachers experiencing the thrill of a
zipline. To make the journey more efficient and enjoyable,
the team traveled by train both ways. This excursion served
as a perfect blend of learning and recreation, fostering
camaraderie among teachers while broadening their knowledge

Gandhi Jayanthi celebration at St

Our school celebrated Gandhi Jayanti with great reverence,
beginning with honoring the photo of Mahatma Gandhi,
followed by an inspiring speech reflecting on his philosophy
of non-violence and truth. As a tribute to Gandhiji’s ideals

participated in a Shramadhana activity within the school

Cluster & Taluk Level sports Our school participated in the Attiguppe Cluster Level
sports competition and won several prizes in athletics and
group events. Following this, all the winners advanced to
the taluk-level athletics competition. Our students excelled
in volleyball, 100m running, long jump, and the 4x100m
relay, securing top positions. Their outstanding performance

Pratibha Karanji Attigupe Cluster Level Cultural competition
was held on 30th August at our school with participation
from 25 schools. The event began with a grand inauguration
graced by MLA Krishnappa and Cluster Resource Person of
Attigupe, Mrs. Nethravathi. Various competitions were
conducted showcasing the talents of students in dance
drawing, pick and speak, fancy dress, devotional song and
more. Our school students actively took part in various

Independence Day at St. Anthony’s

distinguished educators from St. Teresa’s Women’s Teachers’
Training Institute, Chamarajpet. The training was led by
renowned resource persons, including Sr. Prema, Mrs. Mary
Kumari, Mrs. Saubhagya, and Mr. Jagadish, who shared their
extensive expertise with an enthusiastic group of teachers
spanning Nursery to Grade 7. The workshop delved into the 5
"E" Model—Engage, Explore, Explain, Expand, and
Evaluate—with sessions rich in demonstrations,

Seminar on Health and Hygiene at

first session, dedicated to girls from grades 5 to 10,
focused on the crucial topic of maintaining menstrual
hygiene. Dr. Pinto emphasized, "Awareness and proper care
are the keys to health." Following this, the second session
addressed general health and hygiene for all students in
grades 8 to 10. Dr. Pinto shared practical advice and
stressed the importance of daily habits, saying, "Healthy
habits form the foundation of a strong future."
The final session was tailored for the mothers of students
in grades 8 to 10, emphasizing family health and hygiene.
Dr. Pinto highlighted the pivotal role of mothers, stating,

Faculty Development Programme at

the Saturdays of June, St. Anthony's School, Gangondanahalli,
conducted an intensive Faculty Development Programme aimed
at enhancing the English speaking
and pronunciation skills of its teachers. The sessions were
led by Prof. Raju Victor, a retired professor from St.
Aloysius College, Mangalore. The training focused on
phonetics, English grammar, and speaking skills, proving to
be a valuable opportunity for teachers to refine their
speaking abilities and improve their instructional

Road Safety and Drug Abuse
Awareness Programmes – St. Anthony's School, Gangondanahalli. On
June 28, 2024, an informative session on Road Safety and
Drug Awareness was conducted at St. Anthony's School,
Gangondanahalli. The resource persons for the session were
Mr. Mallikarjuna, the Police SI, and Mr. Ranganathswamy, the
Head Constable,
both from Byatarayanapura Police Station. The session was
held for students from grades 5 to 10. It focused on various
traffic signals and signs, the importance of public safety,
and the dangers associated with drug abuse, especially among
school children. Real-life examples were used to illustrate
the risks of drug consumption and the critical need for
awareness.
School Parliament Elections and

School Parliament elections and the Investiture Ceremony
were conducted at St.Anthony’s School, Gangondanahalli, with
great enthusiasm and vigour. The election campaign spanned
three days, during which candidates presented their
manifestos and sought votes from their fellow students. The
elections took place on June 15, 2024, with students from
grades 5 to 10 casting their votes under the careful
supervision of the Social Club. The Scouts and Guides played
a crucial role in guiding the students through the voting
procedure. Kavya V. was elected as the School Pupil Leader,
and Moheeb Akhtar was
elected as the Assistant School Pupil Leader. On June 22,
2024, the formal induction of the
newly elected Student Parliament took place. The Chief Guest
for the occasion was Dr. Anthony Joseph, a Corporate Brainer
from the Lions Club. In his address, Dr. Joseph emphasized
the duties of a good and responsible citizen. The Principal,
Fr. Richard, and the Headmistress, Mrs. Sagaya Mary, were

“The International Yoga Day” -
Commemorated at St.Anthony’s School, Gangondanahalli. “The
International Yoga Day” was celebrated with a high level of
enthusiasm by the students in the open ground of
St.Anthony’s school, Gangondanahalli. Mrs.Pushpalatha, a
professor of Shri. Manjunatha Viday Niketan was invited to
lead and guide the keen and energy-charged Students. The
event began with the yoga Instructor informing the students
about the immeasurable benefits of the art of Yoga and the
foremost reason why it has been a regular practice with
health-conscious people down the ages from ancient times.
She advised and suggested to the students that they should
find a slot in their daily lifestyle to practice Yoga. She
further emphasized that with the mind refreshed, students’
concentration level on studies or games is bound to
heighten, making them more receptive and active. The
students began the session with meditation to calm down and
be at ease and
tranquil as a preparation to begin the asana and progress
through the session. The instructor demonstrated a few
asanas to point out the supple and smooth movement of the
body. The students felt relaxed, refreshed, and rejuvenated
at the end of the session. The Principal of the school, Fr.
Richard, felicitated the Yoga instructor for her proficiency
in the art of Yoga.
School Election and Investiture
Ceremony at St.Anothony’s School, Gangondanahalli. “Leadership
is not a position or a title, it is action and example.” In order to scale the heights and reach the Pinnacle
of success, St Anthony’s School always strives to inculcate
a sense of responsibility and commitment among the students
with their heads held high, ready to shoulder
responsibilities as leaders. With the beginning of the new
academic session for the year 2023-2024, an investiture
ceremony was organized on the 24th of July 2023. A
democratic voting procedure was set in place, which
ultimately formed the school student council of the year
2023-24. The newly elected student council members pledged
to work earnestly and uphold the honour and glory of the
institution while receiving their prestigious Flag, badge,
and sash from the Chief Guest, Mrs.Reena Suvarna the ACP of
Crime Branch, Chamarajpet, Bangalore. As a strong woman
pillar in public
administration, she inspired children via her own life
examples to instill civic responsibility and aspire for
greater achievements. Fr.Vijay, the Manager of the school,
Fr. Richard, the Principal, Sr. Sheela, the Superior of
St.Anthony’s Convent and the Head Mistress of the school,
Mrs. Sagaya Mary, graced the event with their cheerful

Celebrated at St.Anthony’s Church School, Gangondanahalli “Study
nature, love nature, stay close to nature. It will never

'Let us give our coming generations a healthier and happier
environment to have a beautiful life…', keeping the above
intention in mind, ‘The World Environment Day’ was
celebrated at St. Anthony’s School with grandeur and
circumstance. Many students came to school dressed in green
to commemorate the Earth Day. Symbolically, the new teachers
who joined the school this year planted a sapling to
celebrate the occasion. To instill awareness and the
responsibility to protect the earth, sixty indoor plants
were planted in pots and placed on a
pedestal. Each class is tasked with caring after a specific
pot. The Principal, Fr. Richard, highlighted the
significance of the day. Various events on the
environmental subject were organized to supplement the
occasion, such as a fancy dress competition, an essay
competition, a collage creation, and a pluck card
competition. With these convictions and motivations, the
children are prepared for a global mission to revive our
environment and are ready to work toward its restoration.
Inauguration of the Academic year

St. Anthony's School brimmed with excitement and enthusiasm
as it prepared to welcome the children on 28th May 2023.
After a well-deserved summer break, the students returned to
the school with renewed vitality and enthusiasm. The
children were greeted with a flower shower. The school
grounds were festooned with colourful balloons and flowers.
The teachers saw a lot of happiness and hope in the little
kids. In the inaugural function,
the
Principal, Fr. Richard, while addressing the students,
emphasized holistic development and gave
a call to have a balance with academic development to reach
their goals. He also highlighted that students must be
focused, compassionate and innovative in their thoughts.
After the stage programme, icebreaker sessions were
conducted in each class to welcome and to involve.
Republic Day Celebration – St.
Anthony’s Church School, Gangondanahalli. “We
are Indians, firstly and lastly.”– B. R. Ambedkar. 26th of January is a day to remember when India’s
constitution came into force on 1950, completing the
country’s transition toward becoming an independent
republic. The 74th Republic Day was celebrated with pride
and reverence at St. Anthony’s Church School,
Gangondanahalli. The rhythmic band of the school played a
note which reverberated everyone with the feelings of
patriotism. The ceremony began with the unfurling of the
tricolour, the pride of Nation by the revered Chief Guest
Mr. A Raju, The Police Inspector, Wilson Garden Police
Station. He is the native of Karubele Parish. Mr.
Marigangaih, a Kannada teacher and Ms. Naina Khanum, a grade
8th student, highlighted the history and the significance of
the Republic day in Kannada and English language
respectively. The Chief Guest in his address appealed the
students to value the sacrifices made by the great freedom
fighters and strengthen the integrity of the nation by
contributing towards the wellbeing of the society. He also
reiterated the need of practicing the core values
of the Constitution to spread peace and harmony in society
and to solidify the unity of the Nation. The programme was
coordinated by the Principal Fr. Richard Kadiwal. Mrs.
Ancita was the master of ceremony, Mrs. Kousar extended the
words of welcome and Mrs. Arogya Mary proposed the vote of
thanks. No celebration is complete without making us feel
proud of the fact that, “Saare Jaahan se Acchha Hindustan
Hamara”.
ANNUAL DAY CELEBRATION- St.

At first, the chief guest of the event – Mr. Clifford Pereira,
The Director, TV 9 Groups, Bengaluru, accompanied by Fr. Robin
D’Souza –The President of the function, Fr. Vijay, the Manager
of the School, Sr. Sheila, The Superior of St. Anthony’s
Convent, Mrs. Premalatha, the CRP of Attiguppe Cluster, Dr.
Shaziya, the Parent representative, were given a thumping and
resounding welcome by the symphonic rhythm of the School Band.
The formal programme commenced with a graceful prayer dance
performance by the students.
‘Time our most Precious Resource’ was the accorded theme of this
year’s annual day celebrations. The chief guest along with the
other dignitaries, inaugurated the annual theme by lighting the
lamp. Fr. Anil Dcosta, the administrator of the school, extended
a cordial welcome to the esteemed guests and the parents.
Teachers’ day celebration @ St. Anthony's School, GG Halli “Good
teachers are the reason why ordinary students dream to do
extraordinary things”. The above words hold very
true of the teachers of St. Anthony’s School,
Gangondanahalli. The love and dedication of teachers was
beautifully acknowledged by the students in a creative way.
A warm welcome at the school gate with flowers, and
tastefully decorated ‘ENTRANCE’ was pleasant surprise for
all the teachers. Teacher’s day was celebrated with lot of
zeal and enthusiasm at St. Anthony’s School premises on the
5th of September, 2022. Indeed, it was a remarkable day and
moment of joy for all the teachers, the concept being a
teacher is much more satisfying and heart-warming. The key
note address was delivered by the Correspondent of the
School, Rev. Fr. Vijay Kumar, was an icing on a cake, who in
his speech admonished the children on how to respect and
show regard to the teachers and parents. He also reiterated
the thoughts and values of Sarvapalli Radhakrishnan. The
students presented series of fun and entertaining events for
the teachers. They personally offered handmade cards and
rose buds to all the teachers.
Fun filled games were planned at the school ground which
reminded the teachers of their
school days and made them feel nostalgic. They also
showcased many scintillating dance performances, on some

CELEBRATION OF AJADI KA AMRIT
MAHOTSAV @ St. Anthony’s School, GG.Halli. “Freedom
is never dear at any price. It is the breath of life what
would a man not pay for living” Mahatma Gandhi.
The patriotic fervor, glowed on the faces of all present for
the “Ajadi ka amrit mahotsav” held at St. Anthony’s School
grounds, Gangondanahalli. 15th August, 2022 is a golden day
engraved in the history of the world, as it’s a 75th
Independence Day. The Head Master, Teachers and students
with new vigour and patriotism celebrated the event. Mr. N
Santhosh Hegde, the former judge of the Supreme Court of
India and Lokayukta for Karnataka from 2006 to 2011 was the
chief guest. The programme began with the customary hoisting
of the National flag, followed by the rendition of the
National anthem and Vande Mataram. Astounding march past by
the school cadets to the rhythm of the school band evoked
the spirit of freedom, among gathered. Speeches in Hindi,
Kannada and English by the
students iterated the importance of true patriotism and our
responsibilities as Indians. Children
of different grades performed colourful dances for the
various patriotic songs. In his address, Mr. Santhosh Hegde,
conveyed that as responsible citizens of India, we need to
strive for corruption free India. He also urged the children
to become true human, respecting everyone in the society.
The whole programme was a memorable one.
Newly Constructed School Ground @ St. Anthony's School, GG Halli ‘The
secret to happiness is the meaningful expression of
gratitude and practice of kindness’.
Indeed, every member of St.Anthony’s School, Gangondanahalli,
and the fraternity of Prem Nivas is truly indebted to the
benevolence of Mr. Krishnappa, the MLA of our constituency,
whose philanthropic venture led to the aesthetic restoration
of the St. Anthony’s Parish and the school grounds. On July
15th 2022, the honourable Minister Mr. Krishnappa
inaugurated the newly reconstructed grounds. In his address,
he encouraged the children to study well and become
responsible citizens of India. He also took cognizance and
acceded to the requests of the Parish and school to build a
public toilet on the campus. The friars of Prem Nivas,
fondly acknowledge the steadfast efforts of Br. William, Br.
Dancy and Br. Richard Kadiwal as well.
Fire and building certificate: A
dream come true @ St. Anthony's School, GG Halli ‘Fire destruction is one man’s job; Fire prevention is
everyone’s job’. A persistent dream of the school management came into
fruition with the obtaining of the ‘Fire and Building
Safety’ certificates for St. Anthony’s School. In a measure
aimed at ensuring the safety of children, the State
Government has made it mandatory for all aided and unaided
schools to meet safety standards and building stability
specifications.With this certification, the school is now a
safe haven to groom the future of the nation under a secure
environment. Grateful words of appreciation to Br. Richard
Kadiwal, the Head Master of the school for his unwavering
dedication and hard work towards the realization of this
venture. He left no stone unturned in his efforts to get
both certificates.
Refurbished
School Block @ St. Anthony's School, GG Halli ‘Together,
we can do great things. We are One afterall – you and I’.
The dedicated efforts of all stakeholders and several months
of planning, engineering, and hard work, the newly
refurbished block of St. Anthony’s School was inaugurated by
the Provincial Minister during his casual visit to Prem
Nivas. Friars of Prem Nivas Fr. Vijay, the guardian, Fr.
Richard Kadiwal, the Head Master of the school, Fr. Anil
Dcosta, the treasurer, and Fr. Lourdswamy, were present
during this auspicious occasion. The school community
remains deeply obligated to the Provincial, Councillors, and
Building Commission for their foresight towards the
development of the school, which will undoubtedly elevate
the school’s qualitative standards.
Celebration of Ramzan Festival on 03rd of June, 2019. St Anthony's Church School celebrated the Ramzan festival on
03rd of June, 2019. The Muslim teachers organised the
celebration. Dr. Mohammed Misbauddin, (Chief investigator of
Information security education, Government of Karnataka) was
the Chief Guest. The preacher at Siddiqa Mosque was the
guest who blessed the children ahead of Ramzan with his
prayer of blessing. The children beautifully presented the
significance and the meaning of the feast of Ramzan. It was
a nice occasion for the Antonites to show our oneness with
the Muslim Brethren and wish them a happy feast of Ramzan.

72nd Independence Day Celebration @ St. Anthony's School, Gangondanahalli In our school campus on 15th august 72nd Independence Day
was celebrated in a grand manner, for this celebration Rev.
Fr. Anthony Raj was the chief guest, Mr. Prasanth Congress
Leader and Social Worker was the guest of honour and Rev. Fr
Alexander Daniel was the president of the function. In the
presence of all the guest and our Headmaster, Asst
Headmaster tricolour flag was hoisted by the chief guest,
many cultural programmes were conducted along with March
Past, Patriotic Drama, Dance and Prizes were distributed to
the winners of the Zonal Level Sports and Prathibha Karanji
Programme. The programme was concluded by vote of thanks by
our Headmaster. The whole programme was a grand success.

ENVIRONMENT DAY CELEBRATION : St. Anthony's Church School June 5th is celebrated as the World Environment Day. To mark
this important event St Anthony's Institutions planned a
"Walk for Nature". Around 450 student from High School
section went on a procession with slogans like: "1,2,3 -
plant a tree, Stop pollution is the best Solution, Save the
Nature- Save the Future....." The procession was flagged off
by the Asst. Headmaster Rev. Fr. Vincent Balraj and Rev. Fr
Prem Lawrence was the guide and leader. A number of people
witnessed this noble procession. Police department extended
their full support to us.

academic year 2018 on 28th of May 2018. Officially we
inaugurated the year on 04th of June,2018 at 9.30 a.m. The
staff and the Management welcome the students after which
all were gathered in the school grounds. A small prayer
session was conducted with the lighting of the lamp by
school Headmaster, Asst. Headmaster, Staff representatives

Pedagogy championship for the School Students - St. Anthony's Church School On 06/02/2018 and 07/02/2018 Sports Authority of India,
Bangalore had organized the Pedagogy championship for the
School Students. Our school students participated in
different games. Following are the games in which the
students own prizes viz.,
1. Under the sixteen years old category both boys and girls
own the second prize in the Kho – Kho Competition.
2. Under the fourteen years old category the boys won the
second prize in the Kho – Kho Competition.
3. Under the fourteen years old category the girls won the
second prize in the kabbadi competition.
4. Under the sixteen years old category the boys won the
third prize in the Kabbadi Competition..

Hema of 9th standard A section, won the best player award.
Along with her Greclin of 8th A, Mohammad Usman of 9th B and
Sooraj of 7th B own the honorary awards. The students
brought not only the prizes but also the name and honour to
the school and parents respectively. The Head master

Scouts and Guides, of Vijayanagar
celebrated the 12th Scouts and Guides Fair - St. Anthony's
Church School On 20th of January 2018, the local association of
Scouts and Guides, of Vijayanagar celebrated the 12th Scouts
and Guides Fair with the cooperation of Bharath Scouts and
Guides Karnataka. The Fair was held from morning 8 o’clock
to evening 5 o’ clock. Around 54 Scouts and Guides students
of our School participated in the Fair. The Fair was held in
Shri Siddaganga Public School, Chandra Layout. The talent
oriented competitions were held for the students, and our
students participated in all the competitions. The students
won prizes in the competitions. These are the prizes they
won in the competitions, viz.,
1. In the drill and march-past competition Trinity led girls
group won the second prize.
2. In the vegetable carving competition Prajwal S won the
first Prize.
3. In the vegetable carving Shilpha won second Prize.
4. In cooking without fire Sabira Sultan and team won the
second prize.
5. In sign post collage competition Nayana and Kristina
Joyce won the Second Prize
The programme was presided over by the Shri M Krishnappa,
Minister for Housing, Karnataka and Shri. P.G. R Sidhya, the
State Head Secretary for Bharath Scouts and Guides,
Karnataka. The programme was well organized. The students of
Scout and Guides brought honour to the school by their
participation and learnt some valuable lesson for the
service of the society.

January 2018, in the school premises. Rev. Fr. Joseph Dolphy
Pais OFM Cap, The Provincial Minister, President of Capuchin
Education Board Bangalore was the president of the
programme. Rev. Fr. Alwyn Dais, OFM Cap, The Executive
Secretary, Capuchin Education Board, Bangalore and Shri M.
Krishnappa, Minister for Housing, Karnataka, MLA Vijaynagar
Constituency were the chief guests of the programme. The
Function started at 3:00 PM by inaugurating of New Block.
Rev. Fr. Joseph Dolphy Pais, OFM Cap inaugurated the new
block by cutting the ribbon and blessed the interior of the
building by sprinkling the Holy Water. Following the Indian
culture the programme began with welcome dance and lighting
up the lamp.

Speech and Skit competition @ St. Anthony's Church School On 8th July 2017 we held Speech and Skit competition for our
students. Students have prepared well for the competition,
and it was a great opportunity for them to express what they
feel on the given topic. Teacher’s and judges were surprised
by seeing their hidden talent and sense of humor.
VARIOUS COMPETITIONS @ St. Anthony's Church School On 17-6-2017 Saturday St. Anthony's Church School held
Colours day celebration, Chart competition and solo singing
competition in the school premises. Colours day celebration by class 1st to 4th standard:
Red colour was represented by 1st A and 3rd B. The colour
stood for power, light from darkness, love and romance.
White colour was represented by 2nd B/C for peace and
purity. Orange colour was represented by 2nd A for courage,
bravery and sacrifice. Blue colour was represented by 4th A
and 1st B for royalty and encouragement. Yellow colour was
represented by 4th C the colour of radiance and bright
fullness. Pink colour by 3rd C expressed its beauty. All
sections teachers and students wore dressed of their
particular class colours, brought charts, fruits,
Vegetables, pictures and balloons for display. Chart competitions by Class 5th to 7th standard: The
topic given was environment day. 63 students participated.

Installation of St Anthony's Church School Cabinet: For the Academic year 2017-18, St Anthony's Church School
has elected Master Ricky Ronaldo as the SPL and Miss Adeena
P A as the ASPL. A grand Swearing-in Ceremony was held at
the school campus. Fr. Prem Lawrence D'souza was the
President of the function who proposed the oath of secrecy
to the SPL ASPL and Twelve ministers. SPL and ASPL thanked
the gathering for electing them as their leader for this
academic year. Fr Prem delivered a beautiful speech and
said: "Leader is the one who knows the way, goes the way and
shows the way. Leadership is not about a title or
designation. Therefore if your actions inspire others to
dream more, learn more, and become more, then you will be
good leader. You are not a leader just because you are the
best player of the team, or the smartest person in the class
or the most popular. But you are a leader because you can be
approached........ He concluded saying: Don't be lazy- be
honest. Don't be proud- but communicate, Don't be
overconfident- be committed. Don't be lacking diligent - but
be transparent. Don't be resistant to change - but be
creative. Anticipate change, welcome change, initiate

SPL ASPL ELECTIONS : St. Anthony's Church School, Gangondanahalli St. Anthony's Church School conducted the elections for the
SPL and ASPL for the academic year 2017-18. Tenth Standard
Students were given a chance to stand for the election of
SPL. Eleven Students contested for the post of SPL. Ninth
Standard students contested for the post of ASPL. They were
33 in total. All the candidates were given a chance to
campaign through a public speech. Each candidate was given a
symbol. The election was held as a replica of the assembly
elections. All the students from fifth to tenth standard
participated in voting. The counter was set up for the
verification of the identity cards after which the little
finger of the left hand was marked with the ink and then the
students were given the ballot paper for SPL followed by the

to six of its staff members on 10th of June, 2017. Sr.
Celine leaves us on account of her transfer to Madhya
Pradesh. Mrs. Deepthi left the institution due to her
personal commitments. Mrs. Raziya and Mrs. Umme Salma have
taken leave in view of pursuing further studies. Mr.
Malleshappa and Mrs. Ahalya are retired due to age. The
whole institution is grateful to the meritorious service
they have rendered to the institution for the past years.

Environment day @ St. Anthony's Church School, Gangondanahalli St. Anthony's Church School celebrated the world
environment day on 08th of June, 2017. The students from
8th, 9th and 10th around 450 of them went on "awareness
rally" in the locality. The disciplined rally was led by the
school band, Scouts and Guides and the staff members. The
children shouted slogans pro environment and called the
people's attention towards "Swachcha Bharath" Many of the
local political leaders and the people joined us in voicing
out care and concern for the nature. Manju a student from
ninth std. delivered a beautiful speech on the need of
protecting nature. Sir Narayanaswamy gave a very informative
speech on the present scenario of the world with all its

1st November our school students participated in the state
level Karnataka Rajyothsava which was held at Kanteerava
stadium. Around ten thousand students participated in the
cultural events. Around six hundred students from our school
participated and gave seven minutes dance on “Jai Karnataka
Mathe” our dance was well appreciated by the Education

Annual feast @ Hosakerehalli,
Bengaluru. The
12th annual feast of Krista Kripalaya Church was held on
July 5th 2015 with a grand scale. Prior to the feast 3 days
of intense spiritual preparation beginning with the flag
hoisting marked the celebration. On the day of feast Rev.Fr.
Alwyn Dias, Vicar Provincal was the main celebrant of the
Mass. Rev.Fr. Deepak Joseph SMM preached a very inspiring
sermon during the mass. The melodious choir was beautifully

On Saturday 14th March we had our annual graduation day,
Rev.Frs.
Mathew Malala, MSFS and Richard Quadras ofm.cap prisided
over the function and exhorted the students to achieve their
goals through 3D's - Desire to learn, Discipline and
Determination. The colourful entertainment programme added
beauty to the entire programme. Momentos were distributed to
the outgoing class 10th students as they are moving out of
the institution. They were grateful to the management and to

Christmas Celebration 2014 St.
Anthony’s School, Gangondanhalli :- Greetings and prayers to
you! We are glad indeed to pen the latest updates, the
joyful events of our School. On 28th and 29th November, we
had a happy day to be one, we broke the daily horarium, and
we all went to Udupi and Honnavar and enjoyed the sea bath.
Moreover cherished the unity by having lots of fun. On 23rd
of December Christmas celebration were beautified with a

Francis discovered that his spiritual life is bountifully

CELEBRATIONS AT ST. ANTHONY’S SCHOOL – GANGONDANAHALLI On the 31st
of October 2013, the school staff and students organized threefold
celebration by celebrating the birthday of Fr. Paul D’souza,
treasurer of the school, then the Diwali Celebration and the same
day the Staff and school organized a grand farewell program to Mrs.
Josephine who rendered her selfless service to the school for about

ASSISI
KHO-KHO-TOURNAMENT IN ST. ANTHONY'S CHURCH SCHOOL
To conclude the Co-Curricular activities of this academic year,
we had Assisi Kho-Kho-Tournament. This year again we had an
over-whelming response of students from over 40 schools. St.
Anthony's school boys emerged as winners for the third
consecutive time. And Cambridge School girls emerged as winners.
