Health, Hygiene and Women
Empowerment Programme - St Anthony's Church
School
A meaningful and
informative programme on Health and Hygiene
and Women Empowerment was conducted at St.
Anthony Church School on 7th July 2026 in
collaboration with Christ University,
Bengaluru. The programme aimed at creating
awareness among the students about the
importance of personal health, hygiene,
well-being, and the role of women in
building a strong and progressive society.
The session on Health and Hygiene was led by
Dr. Sharon and Dr. Lakshita, who provided
valuable insights into the importance of
maintaining good personal hygiene and
adopting healthy habits. They explained the
significance of cleanliness, proper
nutrition, personal care, healthy routines,
and preventive healthcare. The session
encouraged students to become more conscious
of their physical well-being and to practise
healthy habits in their everyday lives.
Their practical explanations and engaging
interaction made the session informative and
beneficial for the students.
The second session focused on Women
Empowerment and was conducted by Dr. Madhuri
and Professor Vijaya from Christ University.
They spoke about the importance of educating
and empowering women, developing confidence,
becoming financially and socially
independent, and recognising the rights and
responsibilities of women in society. The
speakers encouraged the students to respect
equality, challenge stereotypes, and work
towards creating a society where every
individual is given equal opportunities to
learn, grow and succeed.
The programme was highly enriching and
impactful. It helped the students understand
that good health and hygiene are essential
for a happy and productive life, while
education, confidence and equal
opportunities are the foundations of women
empowerment. The insightful sessions by the
resource persons left a positive impression
on the students and inspired them to adopt
healthy practices and promote equality and
respect in their homes, school and society.
