Environment Day Celebration - St Anthony's Church
School
St. Anthony School
celebrated World Environment Day on 6th June
2026 with great enthusiasm and active
participation from the students and
teachers. The celebration aimed to create
awareness among the students about the
importance of protecting nature and
preserving our environment for a healthier
and sustainable future.
The programme included a variety of
meaningful and engaging activities. Students
presented dramas and short assemblies
conveying important messages about
environmental protection. They also raised
slogans highlighting the need to save trees,
protect nature and keep our surroundings
clean and green. As a practical step towards
environmental conservation, saplings were
planted in the school premises, inspiring
students to take responsibility for
nurturing and protecting plants.
A special educational movie was also
screened for the students, focusing on the
importance of protecting nature and trees
and highlighting how our actions today can
have a lasting impact on the future. The
celebration helped students understand that
the environment provides us with clean air,
water, food and other essential resources,
and that protecting it is a shared
responsibility.
The programme was both educational and
inspiring, encouraging the students to
develop environmentally responsible habits
in their daily lives. The celebration
successfully conveyed the message that every
tree saved, every plant nurtured and every
responsible action taken today contributes
to a safer, greener and healthier future for
generations to come.
