Student Development Programme on "Mind
and Body for Education"
A student development
programme on the topic "Mind and Body for
Education" was conducted at St. Anthony
Church School on 15th June 2026. The session
was led by the resource person, Dr. Anthony
Joseph, who shared valuable and practical
insights on the importance of maintaining a
healthy balance between mental well-being
and physical fitness for achieving academic
success and overall development.
The seminar focused on the vital connection
between a sound mind and an active body. Dr.
Anthony Joseph emphasized the importance of
developing positive habits, self-discipline,
regular physical activity, adequate rest,
healthy eating habits, and a balanced
lifestyle. The students were encouraged to
manage their time effectively, maintain a
positive attitude, stay focused on their
goals, and develop healthy routines that
would contribute to both their physical and
mental well-being. The session also
highlighted how good physical health can
enhance concentration, memory, confidence,
emotional stability, and learning abilities.
The interactive nature of the programme made
it highly engaging and meaningful for the
students. They were encouraged to reflect on
their daily habits and understand the
importance of making responsible choices for
a healthier and more productive life. The
students realized that academic excellence
is not achieved through studies alone, but
through the harmonious development of the
mind, body, and character. The programme
motivated them to cultivate self-discipline,
perseverance, positive thinking, and healthy
lifestyle practices in their daily lives.
The session was highly informative,
successful, and thought-provoking. It left
the students with a deeper understanding of
the importance of maintaining a healthy mind
and body and inspired them to adopt positive
habits that would help them reach greater
heights and strive for excellence in their
educational journey.
