Independence Day Celebration - 2026  - St Anthony's Church School

St. Anthony Church School celebrated the 80th Independence Day of India with great enthusiasm, patriotism, and pride on 15th August 2026. The programme commenced at 8:15 a.m. with the arrival and welcome of the dignitaries and invited guests. The celebration began with the hoisting of the National Flag, followed by the National Anthem, creating a solemn and patriotic atmosphere. The sight of the Tricolour fluttering proudly in the school premises filled the hearts of students and staff with a renewed sense of pride in the nation.

The Chief Guest, Rev. Father Francis Assisi Almeida, Chairperson of the Karnataka Regional Commission for Education (KRCE), graced the occasion with his esteemed presence. His participation added great significance to the celebration.

In his inspiring address, Rev. Father Francis Assisi Almeida spoke extensively about the importance of the Constitution of India and its role in safeguarding the rights, dignity, equality, and freedom of every Indian citizen. He emphasized that the Constitution is not merely a document of laws but a guiding framework that upholds the fundamental values of justice, liberty, equality, and fraternity. He encouraged the students to understand and respect these constitutional values and to become responsible citizens who contribute positively to the progress of the country.

He also highlighted the sacrifices and struggles of the freedom fighters who dedicated their lives to securing independence for the nation. Through his thought-provoking words, he reminded the students that the freedom enjoyed today was achieved through immense courage, determination, sacrifice, and perseverance.

The Chief Guest further motivated the students to cultivate a strong sense of patriotism and national responsibility. He urged them to respect the National Flag, the Constitution, and the democratic values of the country and to understand that being patriotic is not limited to expressing love for the nation but also involves fulfilling one's duties sincerely and contributing to society.

The programme concluded with a renewed pledge to uphold the values of freedom, equality, unity, democracy, and constitutional responsibility.
